Hey Everyone!
So as most of you already know, I will departing on October 29th (less than two weeks away!, for Awassa, Ethiopia to work at the Awassa Children's Project for two months, alongside my best friend, Sam Weinstock, his parents, David and Judith Weinstock, and our good friend Kate Briggs. We will be in Awasssa until the end of the year (roughly two months) before Sam and I take off on our own up to Europe. After Ethiopia, our itinerary is completely open, which is just the way Sam and I like it.
Hopefully, this blog will give everyone a chance to keep up with me during my travels, a place for you to read updates and see pictures, to glimpse a piece of my life for the next half a year.

I haven't left yet, so get in touch if you'd like to see me before I take off! I'm going to try and put together a going-away celebration. In the weeks before I take off I am collecting contacts of people in Europe who would be willing to host Sam and I. Anyone who knows a friend who would let Sam and I crash on their floor or even just take us out to coffee and show us around their town, please contact me! Also: I am collecting donations for the Awassa Children's Project, in the form of school supplies, soccer equipment, and regular old money, so if you are feeling generous please send me an email. The need in Ethiopia is great. My next post will include more information about the Awassa Children's Project, including a link to a great video, so stay tuned.
